Cinéma Sonore

Cinéma Sonore is an ongoing concert series in which I invite musicians to perform live soundtracks to classic silent films. It offers a meditative audiovisual experience, transforming the traditional cinema setting into a space for deep reflection. Audiences are free to engage as they choose - immersing themselves in the film, focusing on the music, or closing their eyes and turning inward.

Snippets from Naams Freedman's soundtrack for the 1928 film "Impatience" by Charles Dekeukeleire. Conceived and performed live in August 2021 at Hectolitre artist residency in Brussels, then as the first concert of Cinéma sonore series in November 2024, Hamburg.
